Robotics and Autonomous Systems

Robotics and autonomous systems are becoming an increasingly important part of modern industry and public infrastructure. Advances in AI-powered navigation, perception sensors, autonomous mobility, and edge computing are enabling robotic systems to support people in everyday environments while also improving safety and operational efficiency in industrial facilities.

Metal Production UAB is developing a new robotics direction focused on practical autonomous solutions for both human-centered mobility assistance and industrial inspection applications. Our goal is to combine engineering expertise with reliable robotic platforms that can operate safely in real-world conditions, support human operators, and reduce risks in complex environments.

Assistive Robotics

Intelligent mobility support for visually impaired and blind users

The Assistive Robotic Guide Dog is a compact autonomous mobility-assistance robot designed to help visually impaired and blind users navigate everyday environments more safely and independently. The system combines autonomous path planning, obstacle detection, voice interaction, and emergency assistance into a portable robotic platform.

Using 3D LiDAR, depth cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and real-time environmental perception, the robot can detect both static and dynamic obstacles, provide safe route guidance, and support navigation in public and indoor spaces. The platform is designed to operate on paved roads, stairs, grass, tactile paving, cobblestone paths, and other mixed urban surfaces.

The robotic guide system also supports voice commands, real-time status feedback, and emergency alert functions, helping improve accessibility and confidence for users during everyday travel. Potential deployment areas include smart cities, public transport systems, shopping centers, healthcare environments, offices, and assisted living infrastructure.

Industrial Inspection Robotics

Autonomous inspection and monitoring for industrial environments

The Autonomous Industrial Inspection Robot is an industry-grade quadruped robotic platform developed for inspection, patrol, monitoring, and mission logistics in complex industrial environments. The system combines high-performance edge computing, 360° multimodal perception, autonomous navigation, and all-terrain mobility for continuous operation in demanding conditions.

Equipped with dual 96-line LiDAR systems, fisheye cameras, thermal inspection capabilities, and AI-powered perception technologies, the robot enables autonomous patrols, remote diagnostics, equipment monitoring, and anomaly detection in industrial facilities. Its wheel-leg mobility platform allows stable operation across uneven terrain, slopes, steps, gravel, and outdoor environments while maintaining reliable autonomous movement.

With IP67 protection, industrial-grade computing performance, and support for remote connectivity, the robotic inspection platform is suitable for factories, logistics hubs, power stations, industrial campuses, tunnels, perimeter patrol routes, and infrastructure monitoring tasks where safety, automation, and continuous situational awareness are critical.

Metal Production UAB continues to explore robotic technologies and engineering partnerships that support the development of practical autonomous systems for industrial operations, public infrastructure, and future smart mobility applications.
